Neuromodulators
Neuromodulators are botulinum toxins that, when injected into the underlying muscles, cause a temporary relaxation that can gradually smooth out the overlying skin. The use of neuromodulators is utilized in recent times to correct multiple cosmetic concerns such as aging skin, forehead and frown lines, "Crow's Feet," sagging skin, and excessive sweating. Currently, these neuromodulators are commercially prepared as Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA), Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA), Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA), and Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA).
